Bioscrypt Announces Executive Changes
Toronto, ON (May 18, 2007) – Bioscrypt Inc. (TSX: BYT), a leading provider of enterprise access control technology, today announced that Robert M. Douglas has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. The company has also announced the Robert L. Williams has stepped down as President and Chief Executive and will remain with the company for a brief period of time to facilitate a transition. “The board of directors of Bioscrypt believes that Mr. Douglas proven track record and experience in driving profitable revenue growth, along with his intimate knowledge of the company gained as both a director since April, 2005 and as Interim SVP of Field Operations since February 2007 make him the most ideal candidate for the role,” said Pierre Donaldson, Chairman of the Board. “We also want to thank Rob Williams for his contribution toward growth of the business and launching the company in a new direction with higher margin software products.”
Over the past 22 years, Mr. Douglas has developed extensive experience and success in emerging segments of the Information Technology industry including enterprise hardware, ERP, CRM and wireless solutions. In his most recent leadership role as President, Psion Teklogix Americas, he led the transformation from market share decline to profitable market share expansion. Prior to this experience, Rob spent nine years in enterprise software leading field marketing, sales, service, professional services and vertical development efforts. His leadership roles include Executive Vice President, North America, Pivotal Corporation, Vice President and General Manager, Siebel Systems and held sales and sales management roles at Oracle Corporation and IBM.
