Great Basin Bank of Nevada Selects Bioscrypt VeriSoft Access Manager to Replace Passwords with Fingerscanning on Workstations
Advanced Authentication Technology is Deployed to Strengthen Security of Customer Information

Toronto, ON (November 15, 2005) – Bioscrypt Inc. (TSX: BYT), a leading provider of identity verification technology, announced today that Great Basin Bank of Nevada has chosen VeriSoft Access Manager with fingerscanning authentication for employee network logon and single sign-on.

Employees of the Great Basin Bank of Nevada will no longer require passwords to access their terminals. By deploying Access Manager a user is verified as the authorized user of a computer at logon by matching their finger against a stored template. Once access is achieved, all applications to which that individual has the appropriate rights and privileges, become available. Further, as passwords are required for certain applications or web sites, the information is either automatically entered as part of the single sign-on function or, if there is a need for increased security, the individual is asked to authenticate themselves using their finger in each such instance.

Given that the bank has a number of industry-specific or tailored-software applications, it was imperative that any new system integrate easily and seamlessly. It was for this reason, and because of the responsiveness of the Bioscrypt team, that Great Basin Bank selected VeriSoft Access Manager.

“We were looking for a solution that would not only increase the security of our information technology environment but also add convenience to the routine of password management,” said John Senn, Vice President & Chief Information Systems Officer, Great Basin Bank of Nevada. “Bioscrypt not only had the ideal technology but a support team that was attentive and responsive to our needs.”

“We are pleased to have had the opportunity to deploy Access Manager at the forward looking institution the Great Basin Bank has proven to be,” said Robert L. Williams, President and CEO, Bioscrypt. “As Bioscrypt’s evolution from a supplier of physical access control and OEM products to a complete access control provider from Door to Desktop continues, we believe we are further positioned to increase our share of the biometrics market.”
